I have had this old automotive light bulb cabinet for a long time.

It was once hanging on the wall at a VW specialist stop for years. I managed to get my hands on it when they were throwing it out! Anyway I can't find much on Google searches.

It is more then just a storage cabinet. This switch on the side is attached to what looks like a transformer inside the back of the cabinet. There is also the remains of what was likely a cord to plug into a wall socket. I have assumed this was some kind of tester for checking if a bulb was good or not. Does anyone know for sure???

Deteriorating foam once held the bulbs in place. I still use it for its original purpose. The shop that it came from was originally owned by a mechanic from Germany (or maybe Austria) who likely brought this with him on his many trips back to the old country.

Surprisingly the original key was still hiding in the bottom after all those years. Can anyone tell approximately how old this cabinet is. I assume they were probably common enough at the time and were probably something Fischer dealers would have had... Thanks for any information.

Thanks for the information, Maddel. I did not think to look if the company was still in business. If I find out any further information I will post it up...
