Is this insane or realistic?
I'm a Ghia and Vanagon owner, but I see this from time to time and just have to ask. This looks crazy to me. Like pulled from a wrecking yard and now for $70k missing so many parts, crashed and trashed.

I dunno - decent 356Bs seem to be close to 100K...Yeah - resto will cost a mint, so you have a bit more in the car that its worth....Not the us VW owners have ever done that......
Seriously, a lot of the Porsche folks do what we do, just at about 5-10X the price. Look at early bus folks and what they will pay for a POS and the cost to restore...Not any different IMHO. _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

There's a fool born every min., makes me sorry for sending my totaled 912 to the junkyard after striping it, I could have sold the crumpled shell for 50K these days. |

I would jump on it. 70K purchase price + 100+ resto = Priceless or 125K
If any dealer is selling a car that needs to be restored they have already figured out there is no money to be made and they are trying to make a buck and get rid of it |

Don't buy a Porsche from a dealer that has a showroom
I can't think of a single major one that I have not heard lied about a vehicle they were selling. |
Right!!! Who do you think is ultimately paying for the showroom? Their lifestyle? Their kids in private schools? Their wife going to the nail salon.....well that one is the boyfriend, sorry |
