I got some Scat Procar Elite seats and picked up the brackets today . I see how the rear of the bracket clamps to the seat rail but I dont see how the front part of the bracket bolts on. I was told at Scat that there are holes already there to bolt the bracket to but I dont see them. I read here on The Samba that holes need to be drilled on the front cross beam that connects the seat rails but there doesn't seem to be enough meat to drill through. This should be a simple install but im just not seeing how it is going to work. Any help or advice from those who have installed Scat seat brackets would be much appreciated.

The previous, previous owner installed these seats in my Thing and the previous owner decided to cut the driver side bracket down to lower the seat (he was tall). I wanted both seats at the same height so I replaced the bracket on the driver's side after I purchased it.

As I recall there were just four bolts that attached the bracket to the stock rails on the floor pan. As for drilling, the necessary holes were already there so I did not need to drill any additional holes but I can advise that the mounting is very solid and I've had no issues with this setup.

I'm wondering if I got the wrong brackets or of the previous owner changed the seat rails from stock. Its not obvious to me how the front bolts attach or where I can drill. Ill have to drop by SCAT to see if they can help. Do you happen to have any pics of how you attached the front bolts of the bracket to the car?

I can snap a few photos for you tonight and forward them to you. Please send me a PM with your email address and/or cell phone number so I can just send them to you that way rather than going through the posting of them in the gallery.
