I've switch to another company doing the chem. treatment on my Pre-A 2pc. magnesium blocks / transmissions. The results are better than ever now.
This process applies a "protective" sacrificial coating that slows the oxidation process on magnesium. The white "chalky" film that starts forming
on magnesium when exposed to damp / moist air climates. NOTE: This is NOT a paint or "aircraft" coating! BEWARE of painted surfaces on magnesium!
Paint and epoxies "seal" the magnesium pores and does not allow the engine to breathe so now you have an that is going to run hot and suffer
an untimely death ! This chem. treatment process that I use is similar to what the factory applied to their freshly cast blocks as they came out of their molds.
Enjoy before / after photos of the same block. Cheers! Mr. Okrasa
