I am looking for a source for matching gauges that include a cylinder head temp gauge.
I prefer old style gauges, but will be flexible to get a matching set.

Been here? Lot of folks use VDO cockpit series......

I used Dakota DIgital as the CHT gauge is easier to read....and a little more accurate. Do you really need a CHT or is it just something to look at? Most Type 1s don't really need it.

I don't know that I really NEED it, but I hear so much about overheating and how number 3 cylinder is always the worst one that I thought I should monitor it.

From 2008-2013, my daily driver was a '71 SuperBeetle.
It had this Westach quad.

Although I've not ordered here before, their customization choices can get you quite close to original factory look: https://www.speedhut.com/gauge/GL-CYLHEAD-01/7/Cylinder-Head-Temperature-Gauge-100-500F
