Can someone tell me how to take these plug wires apart?
They are marked "Hypalon 7mm ignition cable"
I am trying to remove the wires from the tube.

Thanks.

Yes, they unscrew as you found out.

Normally you might want to test them with a multimeter to verify they have 1000 ohms of resistance but I can't read those ones to see if they are marked with a resistance value on the end.

These are marked "Germany" could these be the originals that came with the car? They seem to be in very good shape if they are 61 years old.

They could be but you could buy those ends new too - I used to have a bunch of NOS ones - you can see them in the lower left of this old photo

The other sides are crimped.
Much easier to unscrew plug end.

They are not anything special, just a different look than what you may be used to seeing nowadays.
