Ok. I did all the searching I can do and need some help. I have my 69 square lowered 2 notches front and 1 notch back. I just bought some 5.5" empi 914 wheels with 4.5" offset and e35. I am wondering if anyone out there has this same combo and what size tires you are running without rub. A good baseline would save me A lot of trouble with my build. Thanks.

I'm not running that style of rim, but I'm down 2 splines in front and running 195-60-15's on 36 spoke Shelby's on my 65 Notch. In the rear I've got 47 year old sag, and am running 205-65-15's on the same rims. I think Mike Fisher has genuine 914 rims, and is running 205-70-15's in the rear, but at stock height on his 69 Square. I don't know what he's running up front.
You might have to wait for a few others to chime in.

Nice looking Square though. Cool

I am down 2 & 1 inner splines on 185X60 & 205X70 tires. I have to run 3/8" EMPI aluminum spacers on the rear to get my Fuchs dust covers on over the axle snout. I still have 2 fingers clearance on the rear, but my wheels are ET40.

Thanks for the help guys. I ended up doing some measuring and had some 195/65 15's mounted and they work great with these wheels. No rub with the car lowered.

I believe others are running those rims as well. You might want to have a look at the "Hey I like those wheels on your type 3" thread (page 4). It might give you a better idea of the different rims that can or are being used on a type 3.

There is no engine or gas tank in it yet. I put weight in the front and back to kinda simulate that, also I rebuild the front beam.
