Reassembly:
The engine was rebuilt. The cam was reground and new pistons and cylinders were installed. Along with a rebuilt distributer/vacuum advance (to replace the 009 that was there when I bought the car), and fuel pump. The engine tin was powder coated and matched to the paint on the underside of the fan tin that was never exposed. The pulleys, voltage regulator and air cleaner were done in gloss while the rest is in the stock semi-gloss.
The tank was painted in the original L29 Blue Grey.
The steering column, seat frames, shift lever, rear seat molding, and emergency brake handle were all paint matched to the original paint that was under the emergency brake handle boot.
I kept my original door panels, carpet and rubber floor mats. I need to take photos of those still.
The brakes were rebuilt completely and the fender wells were painted black and then painted with an undercoating to prevent rock chips.
The headliner and upholstery were purchased from Lenny Copp at West Coast Classic Restorations:

Thanks. I really love the polar silver color. Depending on the light it looks different each time. The shop that painted it did amazing work. Same goes for the shop that did the metal work. Top notch in every aspect. I'm very pleased with the end result. |

Congrats, it looks great. What shop? In Austin? |
Mo at Rowe Customs (in Spicewood) did all of the work. I brought the car to him because of his attention to detail. He's very meticulous and his work stands the test of time.

The paint was done by Austin at Hill Country Rod Shop (in Kingsland). The shop is currently no longer open but may be re-opening somewhere else in the future.

I feel very fortunate to have had both shops do the work for me given the level of the work each of them did. |

Thanks. Most everything is completely stock but I like the slight rake in the front. |
