Hey all, so, in the future I'm thinking of getting myself a rabbit pickup. I live in Spokane Washington, and we get a bit of snow. If I was prepared, how do these trucks do in the snow. I'd love your opinions. Thanks.

Being FWD is good. Other than that it's lightweight and old as sh!t, requiring a full go-through. You have to fix the wipers to run stronger with any snow on the windshield IMO.

Should be very close to a Rabbit's performance. You might need to add some ballast in the rear. My Rabbit w/ 4 studded snows would go any direction I pointed it. I never had any worries in snow or on snow packed roads at any speed with that car. I drove thru snow storms that had Subarus going slow.

4 studded snow tires and a load of sand in the back for weight and you'll do OK.
Don't forget that when in a skid it will behave different that a rear wheel drive. Take it to a parking lot and figure out the EBrake/ accelerator- combination to quickly get control of the truck.

Be aware the rear wheels have the same bearings as the rabbit- so don't "overload " it.

If you have previously owned an air cooled VW you will be disappointed but they are very little different from a Rabbit or any front wheel drive.
