I think I've figured out a way to use equal length head studs, just like the Porsche guys. It looks like I could have my machinist modify my heads to use short studs all around by countersinking all the stud holes to match the size and depth of the top/center two.

He would then tap the four bottom holes, and plug them with something like this:

My biggest concern would be that oil would leak through the plugs. Am I onto something, or am I just asking for more oil leaks?
