Killer Westy! I just read through the entire thread, bummer that the earlier pics disappeared.

Need more pics of all four of these buses!! Great line-up.

Maybe I've seen the Dove Blue so-23 before, anyone know if this is the same bus? (picture from BBB 16')

Yours is a really neat camper. I happen to be reading the forums and learning a lot as I just bought a “flipseat,” September 8, 1961, fried egg, orange plaid, yellow curtains, white cabinet faces, table, two pop-outs, interesting thing is my vin tag says so23! it had been in the woods on blocks with no wheels or engine for 40+years!

Westfalia used the SO-23 designation on early SO-34s.
My April 61 SO-34 also has the 23 on the M-code plate. I am not sure when they started using SO-34. That would be interesting to know.

Yeah , my May of 61 SO 34 flipseat has SO-23 on the MCode plate as well ..
