I found this glass split window Beetle bottle in a Spokain, WA antique store a few weeks ago. Took pictures with rulers to give an idea of size. Have any of you seen one of these before and can share what you know about it?

| Thanks for replying Everett! The ones in your picture are different in that they don't have the threaded neck at the back. Hopefully we can both learn more about these. |

This may be the original manufacturer? Not sure.

I also think it's a 60s bug, not a Split:

... been into VW toys for over 50 years... that glass split was a hot item at the late 70s VVWCA swap meets at VOA, in NJ... had a few. They went for around $100.
Definitely not an Avon Bottle.

$100 in 1970s collectible money is about $20, maybe less today. Collectible bottles have suffered the worst decline. |
