Does anyone have a source that can create custom center emblems for the chrome nipples. I have seen the Wolfsburg Crest, Porsche and maybe one other but I want a specific design on them for a custom touch. THanks

One might investigate the companies that produce custom car badges for shows/rallies. Easily searched with those terms. Car clubs often use these folks: www.qualitylapelpins.com

No- they're cloissone' The French always made things that get road chipped all day nice a fancy. 
A sample emblem should be easy to find at any sizeable swap meet- whether OG Porsche or 1988 JC Whitney knockoff. From that you'll find the pin pattern on the back and of course, dimensions including the "dish" of the thing.
