Is there a source for 12v engines. GoWesty no longer can get these engines. Is there a source for new or reliably built engines? Got close to 270K on a '97 and thinking about re-engining. Found a bunch of used engines in salvage yards, but want better source.. |

I just replaced the 12V in my 99 Eurovan in December. We have a good local machine shop here in the Seattle area called Northwest Connecting Rod that has a good reputation. He uses JE forged pistons. Most of the parts for the 12V are still available with the exception of the valve cover gasket. I had to convert mine to a Jetta valve cover. |

I have a 12v VR6 here in my shop that was built by Jerry at NWCR. It's got an impressive build sheet, as it's going into a Corrado and will eventually be turboed. I haven't heard too many negative things about his work. _________________ Casey--
