Hey everybody,
I've got this mystery plug in my engine compartment. The wire is super long and comes from the right rear of the vehicle. I traced it up the right rear corner of the vehicle but then it seems to go up into the headliner. Any idea what this is?

Just guessing but....
My first thought was power steering switch connection. Might connect to idle boost system? Looks brown. If so, it'll be a ground.

Thats the ground for those old bag phones people use to carry. The ones w the 27ft antennas. Yeah. There use to be a grip of dudes driving around in vanagons and bay window busses and they had those phones. They were common in suburban mall parking lots.. Most of them were Libyans. _________________ Support Small Business.

I'm pretty sure your photo actually shows a pair of terminals (90 degree female and male blade).
Rear defrost is the most likely suspect for sure. Be sure to pull the male blade out before trying to solder it back in place. _________________ Jay Brown
