I am sure I have posted one or more times in this thread, but here is the current data:
64, retired for 9 years from Federal Civil Service (IRS) and married to the same wonderful woman for 35 years. 3 "kids" (30, 28, 25) that are self supporting and are all with wonderful partners that we love.
69 Westfalia is still my mostly daily driver and the 67 single cab sits in the backyard unused. I like having the single cab but my ability and interest in maintaining it are regressing.
Life has been very very good to us and we are so grateful.

Neat topic that I never knew existed. I'm 35 and I have 2 jobs. By night I operate my own commercial cleaning business, have been doing that since I was 18, definite highs and lows in that industry. During the daylight hours I work with my very good friend at his air-cooled VW repair shop fixing all manor of old air-cooled cars including Porsches. I don't really need to work with him but it's a lot of fun working on all the old VWs.

I've been a Professional Mechanic for over 25 years
I'm currently a Thermal Technician for Hyundai/Kia . My job has me testing the heating and Air Conditioning systems of our cars prior to (and even after) production.
I get cars 1-2 years before they are released to test. It sounds cooler than it actually is lol.
I used to do a bunch of Star Wars stuff in the past (hence the name and avatar) but not so much nowadays.

Just turned 47 two days ago. Married to my high school sweetheart, 23 years. Two kids, neither one interested in cars. I am currently a Handyman, but legally I am a licensed contractor in Huntington Beach, CA. Hold four classifications, General, plumber, electrician and cabinetry. Have owned my own business for about 25 years, Jim Was Here, Incorporated. A light construction remodeling company whos main lines are plumbing repairs and electrical repairs of residential houses.
