Is there a given order of how to position con rods on crank? I´ve heard part numbers should always face towards the crank pulley, but after dismateling two cases now, positioning of the con rods seem to be pretty erratic, see attached pic. No pic of the other crank as it still sits in the case, but can see through the cylinder appertures only one con rod there faces the pulley with the part number.
What is the correct way?

It does not matter according to this. But you could turn the rods so that
top bearing tang is in front to rotation. Don't hurt.
