I'll have to check my collection. I have a complete set of the magazines and might have a few extras, but I'm not sure.

And where I met the then keeper of my '57 deluxe Twisted Evil

Camped out and remember a bonfire, complete with a bright AF burning magnesium engine case.
Somebody there was playing (broadcasting) what I think were Hitler speeches on a record player!

I had the shirt with the motor on the back, only it was a light gray with black lettering. I wore that thing for years and it eventually was hard to see the lettering and wore pretty damn thin!

Very jealous. I remember a lot of this stuff that Troy made. I wish that I bought it at the time. Funny how hindsight is always 20/20. It’s funny. I see pics I have from the events back then and it really takes me back. I miss those days of the late 90s early 2000s with the VW scene in Pa and Ohio.

The bus on the back of that T-shirt was drawn by none other than Tim Leventry. He worked with Troy on several designs for the artwork in the GASS newsletters.

When I was about 13 or 14 years old (93-94) Uncle Tim got me a subscription to GASS for my birthday/Christmas one year. At first I didn't understand what it was or where it came from. It just started showing up in the mail. He was always doing that... finding ways to surprise me... and put a smile on my face.

I have both my collection of the newsletters and now Tim's as well. So if anyone has GASS memorabilia they would be interested in trading for newsletters let me know. I'd very much be interested in a T-shirt like the one above that features Tim's art work.
