Can anyone tell what side play there should be on A or B conrods vs crank?

The side play must not be that critical as there seems to be no info, but too little side play and the motor will run hot (the oil from the rod bearings oils the under side of the piston crowns, cooling them and oiling wrist pins/upper rod bushings and piston oil rings, as the crank spins), so at least 0.005" or more. The rod bearing inserts should not extend past rod side.
