I had just picked up a 72 Houston Westy bus from Oceanside from an awesome dude that wanted us to have every part as possible to get the bus back on the road sooner as we work on it.
I will be posting up pictures of it when I brought it home and afterwards of the project itself. Do share or ask for more about this different interior layout opposed to most westy ones. Otherwise, enjoy following this build

Cool!
Continental bed to boot, I wonder if it's a 1600 bus.
Lets see the M plate behind the LF seat. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Thanks for posting those pics of your new bus. That's going to be a fun refresh to do, since the changes will be dramatic.
Especially liked seeing the pic of the "penthouse" (as Riviera called it). It has a platform for the bed instead of the cot, which I have never seen before.
I live an hour away, neighbor, if you need a hand with anything. I'm fairly new to ACVWs, but know a little bit about a few things.
Have fun and Welcome to The Samba! _________________ -Kent-

We decided that we couldn't bear the color orange and started stripping it back to OG Niagara blue color underneath. |

New interior means new wood panels! My girlfriend wanted a darker stain so we went with it and started our new templates, they went great!

Roadtrip worthy!
My family and I took the bus through 11 states last summer and finally had the time to post up all the pictures of our build. It was a fun build! Helsinki interior is not 100% back to original since few woodworking is needed.

I have yet to find a close match for Niagara blue off the shelf, luckily your local autobody supply store will be able to mix some up and can even put it in a spray bomb if you like.
A Harbor freight touch up gun is a better choice, that way you can spray 2 part paint for better durability. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.
