Nice story!!! I bought a '71 in 1973, drove it for 13 years (last 2 years of high school and 5 years of college and then some). I rebuilt the engine and put dual Webers on it with a header exhaust. Man that was a great car, had so much fun in it, especially with the back seat folded flat!!!!!! Hahhahhha!!! I really miss that SQBK. Wish I had one. I do have a '66 Beetle and '71 Westy now. _________________ '66 Beetle

Very cool. Crazy how we can tie ourselves to a car like that. _________________ '65 Karmann Ghia

Buttons out early yesterday morning at Cars and Coffee in Westminster, CO. A bit more "ratback" than Squareback.

good to see you as well. Most people don't even know about Lompoc. Let me know when you can make it up to Bailey to drink some beer. |
