Since changing the brake master cylinder to a dual circuit system I needed to mount a new brake fluid reservoir. I made a bracket to hold the reservoir and also fitted the hoses to the top of the master cylinder. .

Fitted hard brake lines from a late type 3.

Few odd jobs left to do under here (clean back the surface rust on the steering column, replace a few rubbers, etc.)

Gearbox back in and also got the shift rod back in with a new bush and coupling. Bolted the shocks on, connected the handbrake cables, spring plates with new bushes, etc.

Had the drums machined and painted them with brake paint. Put the drums back on and got the notch back on the ground.

Was never really 100% happy with having 4 stud on this notch, so I had been collecting parts and made a start on putting it back to wide 5.

Tried to track down a pair of OG rear drums but ended up going with a pair of new ones. Got the rear all sorted and back on the ground.

Had a set of early type 3 rims re-hooped into safety rims. Hoping to get these painted soon and some fresh rubber on them

The carbs needed a good clean and rebuild. The accelerator pumps on both carbs had an extreme amount of wear where the connecting link mounts. So I welded the holes up carefully and then re-drilled the holes.

I think they came up alright

Nice work! Did Australian Type 3s use 6 or 12 volts in 1967?
