Hello, I thinking of purchasing an 85 Vanagon in San Diego. But I’m not from that area so would love to have a trusted mechanic give it the once over before purchase. Can anyone give me a name & number of someone good? Thxs!! |

PM Gary (Aeromech) or Robbie (Asiab3) on this site. Both good guys though I don't know if they do Vanagons. _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

See Jack at
BRU Automotive
5625 El Cajon Blvd
San Diego, CA 92115
(619) 287-9716
Jack is a "Vanagon Savant". He's done amazing, one-of-a-kind things to his own Vanagons and will know everything to look for in a potential van for purchase.

You want both the mobile quliafier, and then a PPI on a lift.
Budget About $750 for both , total _________________ .ssS! |

I recommend. He is moble and knows Vanagon more then anyone I’ve ever meet. You can’t go wrong with Mark _________________ I'm not a mechanic, I just play one on the internet

I generally take my Vanagon to BRU. They do great work and are very honest and knowledgeable. |

Another vote for Mark. He's not just the best in San Diego, he's the best around. He'll likely go over it all with you and explain everything. What you learn will be worth it ten fold. |

Mark is your man. He doesn't have a"lift" but he'll get under it if he needs to _________________ 82 Vanagon Westy - AAZ 1.9 TD, HE200 Holset, WAIC, 27.75 dia tires, Electric power steering, 5-speed AAP w/.078 5th

PM Gary and his partner Telford the electrical genus. His user name is Aeromech on The Samba.
He'll let you know if they will work on it. Good guys. _________________ Contact me at [email protected]
