I have my 73 Bug fuel line running in the open right below the driver seat, and it's made of transparent silicon, not inside the tunnel as it need to be.
Can I move the silicon line for the inside of the tunnel and let it loose inside as a cheaper and temporary alternative to the fixed metal line? |

Is that hose fuel safe?
Hose will never last as long as metal, so I can't see how it can be safe... or legal. _________________ Glenn

Currently it isn't safe, since it pass by the driver's foot, so I planning on move it to the inside of the tunnel for increased safety in the event of a crash or something like this.
But since I can't currently afford to find or buy the metal tubing, I'm thinking on keep the silicone line.
I need to do a welding work to better anchor the seat rail on the floor pan, the fuel line out of the tunnel hamps me. |

He's not referring to the location of the line, but what the fuel line is actually made of. Will Silicon line even hold up to running gas through it without disintegrating? You should run a solid line like NiCopp through the tunnel. Like this stuff: https://www.amazon.com/Nickel-Copper-Brake-Transmission-Tubing/dp/B00A1WBYUC _________________ scrapyards are for quitters
