I would like to tackle a couple of dings on my '72. I've done minor ding work before but this would be a step up. This isn't cut out and replace work, just dents. Can anyone recommend good reading on bodywork basics? Steps to take and follow?

Here's a thought ... maybe you could have a look in the Body/Paint forum. If there is no thread immediately obvious to you, then use the search tool. I suggest that you spend some time and research your problems before asking everyone else to spend their time to answer your questions, which most likely already have hundreds of threads/opinions
