I have a Manx clone it's a sand flea the dash was destroyed is there a replacement other than the Meyers manx store? I figure for the size and shipping from California will probably break the bank. I also want to know should I add the metal bar brace behind seems everyone says it will help support the steering column. Thanks in advance for any answers itching to get it going. The shipping for the three dash's I have bought from Meyers Manx has ranged from $ 26 to $27 for each dash. And all have arrived in good shape. If that helps.
I do recommend the steering column support bar. IMO, the fiberglass dash is not enough support the steering column by itself. _________________ Bad News Racing 2018 NORRA 1000 3rd in Class

The frame also provides the windshield a stronger structure to mount to and the frame ties the windshield frame, hood/dash and body together in a more rigid unit as well as providing a solid steering column support |

How bad is dash?.... My dash was butchered but it was easy enough to fabricate a plate to hide all the damage....

Thanks everybody guess go ahead and order the bar and dash. The dash was a lost cause it was about 4 pieces so we scraped it think the damage was from steering column he had it rigged behind dash with some hanger tape(used to hang pipes) and a u-clamp go figure. Still out whether to by new shiny chrome column or go retro with early 60's bug. We have a yard here locally nothing but VW but he's let it go to hell all the chassis rotting out and all but good for parts |
