I removed this a very long time ago from one of my 50 splits but I’m not 100% sure it is a split or an oval can I get some info identifying the correct year/era beetle it is correct for. It measures 12 inches from lower shifter base to tip of shifter. And the ball has no pin just round. It’s also an 8mm thread

Splits had a smaller ball than later cars. I think they went to the larger ball in '53 or '54. _________________ Chris

That’s a 1954-55 shifter
Pre ‘52 Beetle shifter was different in two ways. #1, fulcrum Ball was much smaller in size. #2, pivot point was much higher up the shaft

I agree glen just compared it to my shifter in my 55 parts car I guess they swapped out the shift rod at one point on that split I took it out of. _________________ ** HELL YEAH I'LL SELL IT TO YOU**
