I had to take the apron apart to straighten it out. Also redid an old repair at the bottom...
I had a few things to repair on the window frames and a check for fitment...
This should be the last of the body parts off to the stripper. I'll have him do the window frames in a powder coat primer...

Thanks again guys!!
With the body work winding down I disassembled the front beam and sorted other parts for stripping, and hardware for plating. I know one of the spring plates is messed up and had another...

Looks like the spring plates seen better days. Is it going to be stock height? _________________ shiny paint doesnt make it worth any more |

Yeah, that one spring plate is pretty beat. It will be stock height.
I got the front bumper and apron back and in primer...
I also got the front beam back and painted. And with the powder coat and hardware finished, started assembly...

It's black oxide, and I use Collins Metal Finishing in Phoenix. It needs to all be prepped, wire wheeled or blasted, first.

I haven't had much time on the '52 lately, but there doesn't seem to be much going on here in the barndoor forums so I'll update what I have... I'll most likely be taking it to a friends shop for paint and it will be easier to transport on its own wheels so I've been focused on getting the front and rear axles back under it. More on that in a minute.
In the mean time I've been doing a final fit on body panels and sorting out trim, handles, etc. for polish, chroming and plating. Original belt line trim fits well, body and bumper trim have been a bit more work...

I had to to touch up a couple areas on the undercarriage where the rotisserie was mounted...
Dan at Competition Engineering has been helping out with some of the mechanical things including rebuilding the spindles. With the spindles done, I installed the beam and got it built out to the backing plates...
