So i have a 1600 single port motor in my 71 bus, the intake manifold did not have the nipple for the brake booster vacuum hose so i welded a 1/4 nipple and drilled it out. I had some clear hose rated for highish pressure so i threw it on there just to see if the booster worked. After letting it idle and a few small revs i go look at the hose and i can see pea sized droplets of what looks like fuel. Did i drill the hole to big or something ? |

Some amount of fuel condensate would be normal. Do you have a check valve installed fairly close to the manifold? If not you will have fuel mixture pulsing in and out of the hose. You could always angle the hose a bit so that it readily drained back into the manifold.
Are you sure it is fuel? It could be water that has condensed in the unused booster or brake fluid that worked its way into the booster passed the seals. |

Ill check it a little closer tomorrow. Im thinking having the nipple level was a bad idea , should have angled it up slightly . |

As mentioned are you sure it's not brake fluid?
VW oriented the hose to slope upwards where it meets the manifold to resolve and fuel ingestion or buildup, something to consider in your application. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Yeah, my first thought was is it pointing up or down? Rather, coming off the top of the manifold or the bottom? That might make a difference as to whether fuel condensate would show up in it. Of course, if it is happening in mine I would never see it! _________________ If you haven't bled on them, you haven't worked on them.
