Has anyone made their own escutcheons for the hood/windshield fasteners located in the middle of the front hood?
They seem to be made of some sort of clear plastic. The ones I have the holes for the screws are too large. I am not sure what material to use to make my own. |

Thanks for that link but shipping and handling is 25.00 for those small parts, and with no photo and being unable to verify that part number I am going to pass on ordering it.
I need 2 of the larger ones for the hood. |

I may just have to go that route. The last set I purchased were thin and smaller than the size of the metal fastener. |

You can make them out of a clear plastic bottle
Or buy them here
http://www.thingparts.com/escutcheon-kit/
I can ship them for 3.50
I’ll refund the extra shipping charge within 24 hours _________________ Michael Basso

The problem with the aftermarket seals are that they are cut short lengthwise and no mater how you position it there will be a small gap for water to enter the trunk.
My solution was to purchase my own material and cut my own true to the size of the fitting on the trunk.
