While the rest of the bus market falls flat on it's face, it's nice to see the Jersey Looker market staying Jersey Strong.

Is the Jersey Looker motto "If your van has big meats, it will bring in big teats" ?

It’s both bizarre and unfair that you can get stopped and ticketed by the police for having a blown tail light but not even warrant so much as a dropped doughnut for either installing or driving a vehicle with a porthole...

This photo clicks many "Jersey Looker" style points.

Cut wheel arches...check
Wood front bumber...check
Trucker mirrors...check
Spare Tire on front...check
Home made camper interior with 4X8 notched plywood paneling...check
Diamond Stitch Quilted front seat cover...check
Shag carpet on camper floor...almost definitely a check

Don't you know the real reason so many Jersey busses and vans had port hole style windows installed back in the day? Even the fishmarket van had to have them! Not for looks or visibility, but for access to All routes.

This is the best thread on this whole site, thanks whoever brought it back to the top! I've always loved 70s custom vans. I'm kinda bummed that my 67 had never had it's arches cut, I have the perfect set of staggered slot mags in my shed but don't have the heart to hack it after it's survived all these years with quarters intact. I did find evidence of an airbrushed mural on the back hatch, but unfortunately there wasn't enough left to save.

I peered into one of those port holes back in the day. It was all asses and elbows.

As an ex-Pennsylvanian, man those PA tags are so blah.

Awesome van though, I hope there is a WaWa bag with a Philly pretzel in the passenger seat Smile
