fords was either a lightly splined shaft with indexed lobes or as a friend told me , they were like 6 or 8 leaves of hard steel ( like the torsion leves with a bevel cut on edges))helded togeather and the lobes*races & flange was pressed on to. I never tried to take one appart, they looked like the leaves to me. many years of them in many different frod engines mainly 4 cylinder stuff witch they had cam issues with until they went to that camshaft.
