I would guess its pretty rare.
The 914 was sold as a VW/Porsche in Europe. In the USA it was sold as a Porsche. _________________ Glenn

Somewhat rare, but not really. AA is now making a repop so it's value may have suffered.
Want to sell it? _________________ '74 914, back on jackstands for a 3.0/6

Not so rare. This emblem was used on all European 914-6s. |

Considering there were only 3,351 914/6's produced and not all of them were European issue, I'd say the emblem could very well be considered rare.
Of course, there are two caveats. One, how many of these were produced for availability as over-the-counter parts? Two, is this an authentic emblem or is it an aftermarket emblem?

Well, I bought one NOS off the shelf at a Porsche dealer in SanFran in the late 80's.... I think it was about $10. |

So this is my first post here. Hard to believe. I own a '71 914-6. I have an original 914-6 VW Porsche emblem too. Bough it back in the 80's and have never installed it. I am on my 3rd 914-6 and do not plan to install this emblem. I just like it. I think it is rare; it is OEM and not one of the aftermarket emblems. Cheers, Michael _________________ Education will never be as expensive as ignorance. |
