I've never got an answer, when I asked the seller about this record breaking white Vanagon. The first time in 2014 and again in 2017, no feedback from the seller. And I was asking a shipping company for a quote, it was a really serious interest in this Whitestar.
I think I'm not the only one, who has never heard anything from the "seller".
It looks like a decent van with a reasonable price. What's wrong here, does someone now the "seller"? |

Hey y’all, I’ve been out of the market for moderately-burned-jump-seats for too long but this one came along recently.
Should I jump on this at $135 or will another come along at 50% of this price next week?
87-91 Vanagon Carat rear facing right jump seat Price: $135
Original rear facing removable folding gray jump seat from 87-91 Vanagon Wolfsburg/Carat. Headliner of van burned and dripped onto backrest (padding is still good). Reupholster or change out backrest with front seat back to build "ultimate jump seat". Includes right (passenger side) mounting bracket, which is the one you need to add this to a Westfalia camper. Buyer pays shipping, send zip code for quote.

Thanks for any and all advice. _________________ - Jim

The front bumper kinda reminds me of the float in Animal House.

The way I read it was that he upgraded the front disks and the pads for the rear.
Either way on that grade I would be chocking my wheels with or with disc conversions on the rear. |

The seller is hoping to pay for the Sprinter (image 9) that replaced the Bluestar (Bluestar for Bluetec). _________________ - Jim

Disc brakes have pads, drum brakes have shoes.
A comma would have made this statement less ambiguous:
"Brakes - Upgraded discs front and back new pads" I read as: "Brakes - "Upgraded discs front and back, new pads" - but I could be wrong. _________________ '84 Vanagon GL 1.9 WBX

Having never bought doors, except when I went to Body School... Is $300 a piece for Vanagon doors too much, or just chump change?
The doors we got at body school were perfect, $25 each, off a variety of vehicles, and then the teacher would give them a good bang, and we'd have to fix them. Not sure how other body school's work, but that was an ok way at the time. _________________ '87 Westy 'Flossie','86 Westy 'R1','86 tintop GL - Subi2.2 'J2','83.5 stock tintop L 'ZoomBus','74 Karmann Ghia, '63 Notch |

$300 is not cheap but neither is proper quality body work these days. If you had a whacked or rusted door that needed to be totally restored $300 in body shop labour wouldn't get you far. |

He's dropped his price from $700. And if you search online plenty of used doors in junkyards still. They are asking $50-$250 at junkyard with $150 being the average. _________________ 1971 westy tin top that got a 74 up pop top bolted on |

Probably they reason they are not selling is that they are aftermarket(OEM) and not factory parts(OE) or genuine parts.
Only OE parts have the proper rust prevention and panel thickness of an as new part.

Doors can usually be had for much, much less.
Good hatches or sliders are much harder to find and they don't usually get that kind of money. |

Go to the Karma thread to get a door for free. That’s much, much, much less.
