CB Dropped Spindles and pre 58 Drums Questions

Can pre 58 drums be used with CB dropped spindles? I ask because my drum outer bearing does not look like it is in all the way on the spindle. The inner seams to be flush against the back face of spindle. I also can only get one spindle nut on and the second about half way on? Am I missing something? Or is that they way these spindles go together?

Throw some pictures up, it's easier for us to diagnose, have you got the seal runner on?

Depends what spindle you have. Small ones are balljoint and take discs, 4 lug drums or 67 wide 5 drums. Longer ones take early brakes. You can tell pretty easy by the nut or nuts. Maybe your seal is hanging up but sounds like you have the wrong spindles.
