Can anyone knowledgable shed some light on the differences between the sidecwindow regulators made by Atlas and and ones made by Kieper? It appears that the large cog gear is slightly different, but what else? Thry appear identical at a glance. And what years were which brand used???
Thanks. |

Take a look at the classifieds. There's a gentleman in Finland who produces replacement pieces for both types. That will provide you with a clear picture of what the parts differences are. They're interchangable as assembled units for installation in the doors, but not at the small parts level. Unaware of any specific years being stipulated for each type. |

VW used in the production always at least 2 different company's for 1 part. So they could always have parts when one of them failed... It is like that with the bolts, nuts and washers, Hella and Bosch for lights... and probably the same with windowregulators.
There is a date on the regulators , Guess they are used both in the same period. _________________ Zelensis, glassfibre body made in Belgium , disigned and built on a VW platform About 25 body's built.
