|
|
I recently bought a Jetta and I can't get the doors to lock. Putting the key in the driver's door and turning it allows the driver's door to lock but not any of the other doors. The horn honks which sets the alarm but you can still open the other three doors and the alarm goes off. I had a local mechanic replace the door wiring harness and it still isn't working. He's too busy and expensive to look at it again.
Would the driver's door lock actuator cause this or does it mean the three other actuators are all broken? Any help/thoughts would be appreciated.
p.s. the keyless entry remote doesn't work so thats out of the equation, I think. |

Could need a central convenience module. If you think a door harness was expensive, get rid of the car now...you've only sctatched the surface _________________

Thanks for the correction. I used to be a nice guy, then I ruined it by exposing myself to the public. |

I think 2009 was the last year for the central convenience module. |

Did you have it scanned before throwing parts at it? |
