My 62's Steering wheel has had a little up and down play so I figured it was time to replace the bearing. Got the old one out and put the new one in. The new one is W.Zanoni brand. Not sure where I got it but it looks like this:
1. How in the heck do you guys get it to sit completely flush?
2. With it almost flush, I can already tell it has more play than the old one I took out. Did I get the wrong one for a 62 or is this a crappy part?

The shaft should fit pretty snug against the inside of the bearing. Does it? _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

After looking into this part I have, it appears it is a part #5002 which is hard to look up but shows its for Type 1 66-77. Did they change the steering shaft in 66 to a slightly larger one? I thought 62-67 all had this same type of setup until they went to plastic in 68.
