When i removed my FI manifold today there were no manifold gaskets just hard spacers. Does the manifold require paper gaskets? Thanks |

Originally those spacers had a thin paper gasket bonded to them. You can coat them thinly or make a very thin (like newsprint) paper gasket for each side. |

Hey Phil thanks for the reply. Can I use Gasgacinch? Would a gasket out of printer paper be too thick? |

You don't want anything that acts as an adhesive, just as a sealant.
Check this thread and the embedded link for a how-to process (though for a different purpose).

I don’t know what this part is called but I need to replace the vacuum hose on both sides of it and I’m wondering where to find the correct size hose? Anyone? Thanks, Gregg

It's an electric AAR (Aux Air Regulator). I believe the hose size is 12mm ID or maybe 13mm ID I forget. One end goes from the AAR to the bottom of the plenum, while the other end goes from the AAR to the tube on the air cleaner. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Bob, Thanks for the reply but that would put it at almost a 1/2”. That would be to big a hose. It’s closer to 5/16”. The problem is that I can get a 5/16” onto the manifold but not onto the AAR valve. Looking to buy the correct hose but not sure where to get it? Thank you |

OK, it's 3/8ths then. I wasn't sure on the AAR end to plenum size. The end to air cleaner is larger. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

So, I'm new here and not sure how this works, so if I'm in the wrong spot or do something not right please just let me know.
Now. I have a 1970 type 3 fastback fuel injected with a fresh engine rebuild. It startes after a few cranks. And then floods and dies. Any ideas? Fuel pressure is 28, and the regulator is working. |

Probably best to start a new thread here in the Type 3 forum for your car. It may or may not be FI related, and that way you con continue with whatever direction your repair goes, without clogging up the FI thread.
Flooding usually comes from vacuum leaks, bad FI wiring, or low voltage. |

See what the fuel pressure does as it floods and dies. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

This car will be the death of me…So it has always had a cold start issue you have to cycle the key twice then start it holding the accelerator pedal down just a little for a min or two then it will idle on its own. Now that the temps are up here in Washington it has started giving me grief when its above the mid 80’s after a warm up and driving for about 30-40 min it starts to act like it wants to die so you have to feather the accelerator to keep it running and once it about say 1500-1800 it kinda clears out but it almost feels like I’m running out of fuel. It was sputtering and coughing then almost dies. I had my temp gun with me and the engine is barely 180*. Last week it was mid to upper 70’s I drove 2 hrs plus each way to a car show and no issue the weekend before that was 1 hr drive at 96* and it did it then. Any ideas? |

Mine had very similar symptoms last year that progressively got worse as the year went by. In fact, I haven't even got it to start and run on its own since i tried to start it this spring _________________ 69 Squareback

Which injection system?
