Don't have a screen shot but there is a movie on Netflix called Battle Drones. It is horrible. The scene where the team first gets to Chernobyl you can see a Vanagon during the gun fight. |

I just finished yet another overland/travel memoir book involving a Land Rover, Jerrycan by Andrew Brading:
https://www.amazon.com/Jerrycan-Andrew-Brading-ebo...s=jerrycan
It's the story of two accountants from Johannesburg who quit their jobs and buy an old Rover to travel southern Africa in. The rub is that they have absolutely no mechanical ability and a way overblown romantic notion of the Land Rover that borders on delusion (sounds familiar to several conversations I've had in parking lots...)
It's a pretty good read; the author is very dry and, for better or worse, is not afraid to complain incessantly. There were moments in the book in where I wanted to reach into the pages and slap him upside the head, actually.
I bring this up because one of the better sections of the book is when the couple parks the dilapidated Rover for a couple of weeks and jumps in with an African tour guide who takes them into a big national park/reserve in a VW T3 Combi. When they camp amongst the wildlife, the guide sleeps on the roof. The van plays an important part in one very humorous scene as well.
If you're looking for an interesting read and don't mind being frustrated by several bad decisions here and there, pick up a copy. I think it's free on Kindle.
(I gotta stop reading these things. This is my fifth one this year.) _________________ Joe T.

My daughter dragged me to see "The Isle of Dogs." It seemed like second rate animation but it did not take long for me to realize ir was really very original and the art work was superb.
This is a video about the team that created the puppets about 30 seconds in.

Somebody at work just pointed this out to me. If you're thinking of attending a music festival this summer, I'm assuming that this Diesel apparel is as mandatory as your ticket.
Nice early Joker by the looks of it though.

I saw this on a communication from REI/US Bank. Looks like a Syncro. _________________ '87 Westy Weekender - daily driver on salt-free roads

Actually, if you look closely, that's a regular Westy with one of those syncro faux filler magnets. Note the gas fill in the normal position. _________________ 87 syncro tintop

Season 2, Episode 11 of Fauda (Netflix) ... I'd screenshot but don't want to give away any spoilers. _________________ 1987 Syncro Wolfsburg Weekender | Triple Knob | SAH 1.8T |

Or a Syncro with an extra fuel tank.
They're certainly trying to have it both ways. _________________ Currently:
