Ok bought a HF ball joint separator. BAM the lower connections are apart. Tomorrow I rent the 23 piece ball joint press from Advance and remove the joints. Baby steps here.
But with the uppers on the bench what is the trick to removing the eccentric sleeve. I may have to read more but so far Bentley says "it will come off." JEEZ i need more.

You'll need a 2 or 3 jaw gear puller or a drag link puller to get that off.
Or try laying it sideways on a flat anvil of some sort and bashing it (use the wrench flats), the tiny flex during the hit sometimes pops it loose. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

It's not threaded.
The hex is to turn it when installed to adjust the alignment, it's a cone on a cone, the inner taper is stuck on the ball joint shaft just like the ball joints were stuck in the arms. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

on the flat surface for the wrench put a flat hammer against it then hit 180 degrees away square on the flat with another hammer. The blow may loosen it. DO NOT hit the cone or it will be junk. If it doesn't pop loose with one medium whack you will need a puller. A puller is your best choice anyway. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

Now that I get a good look at my picture. I should give the HF tool a shot.
The forks should fit around the shaft above the eccentric nut. Then push on the end of the bolt....Fingers crossed for another BAM.
