anyone knows how to remove the nose grills?
I see 2 phillips scews which I could remove but nothing comes loose ???

Although I've never done that job myself, instructions for removing the fresh air inlet trim can be found on page A-67 of the 1960 VW Karmann Ghia Shop Manual - Body Section (which can be found here in The Samba Technical Archives under the Karmann Ghia Owner's Manual section). |

There is a small tab on the side opposite the screw also. Be careful not to bend or break when you pull it forward. If you start pulling it forward on the screw side you should be safe (speaking from experience on a 71) |

IDK if it works on Ghia grilles but to remove the plastic vents in the dash of a mkI/II, I would bend two tight 90* in the end of a coat hanger with a pair of needle nose & insert it into the vent , turn it 90* & hook the back of one of the slats & pull them out that way. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.
