Well you have repeated that over and over in this thread so it is obviously your opinion.

Yep, my opinion and I'd say it again if I felt like it.

Can't help it if the lyrics of a currently very popular song with my 4 and 7 year old just started blaring in my head…

Let it go, let it go
Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door!

I don't care
What they're going to say
Let the storm rage on,
The cold never bothered me anyway!

It's funny how some distance
Makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me
Can't get to me at all!

It's time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me I'm free!

Let it go, let it go
I am one with the wind and sky
Let it go, let it go
You'll never see me cry!

I have two girls... if I have to listen to those lyrics one more time I swear to God I'll jump off a cliff. I thought I was safe on The Samba.

Wasn't that let it go in reference to no need to continue making posts that add no addition info as Steve was doing? He instantly added me to his ignore list as well. Good to know you can keep blasting your opinion on here as long as you don't challenge anyone else's directly.

Those are powder coated 15" steelies. Purchased from VanCafe before they closed in Santa Cruz. I added the Mefro caps and found some vw caps off an old passat at a junk yard to fabricate them in!

Got a few questions ;

1. Does the ladder has two positions one closer to the body of the van and the other more outward ?

2. How and is it easy and quick to toggle between the two positions ?

3. I got a tight alley way so I am wondering how many inches the closer position sticks out of the van ?

Thanks

The only issue I have had was the ladder sliding back towards the tire.
We were on a trip and I could here a sound that seemed to come from above the drivers head. I thought it might be the pop top not sealed due to high crosswinds that we were having. I stopped and re-latched the top. Took off again and it was better. But as soon as a semi passed me on a two way road the sound came back. (I hate freakin new sounds) Shocked

So I stopped again thinking it could be the skybox or something on the Yakima rack. I checked everything then noticed the base of the ladder had moved back and the lugs on the tire were just barely rubbing it. The vibration was sent up along the gutter and that's why I thought it was on top.

I ended up just sliding it clear for forward and no more issues.

I also used a thread locking bolt to make it a little more difficult for someone to borrow my ladder. Instead of just pulling a pin to remove it. I never have noticed any additional wind noise with it on.

I love the product! Thanks RMW!!

I digress but uhhhhhh, your syncro is THEE NICEST MEANEST SWEETEST BADDEST Vanagon I’ve ever seen!!!

How much do you have invested in that thing?? One day, I hope to buy a nicely set-up syncro like yours. Till then, my plain-Jane 2wd Westy will have to do.
