My wife and I have the weekend free and it is the last spring razor clam dig. Headed to Long Beach, just happened to be the razor clam festival no campsites were available. We were able to get a first come first serve spot at Cape Disappointment. Just finished digging and headed to check out the clam festival.
Will be clamming again tomorrow.

It’s a beautiful weekend in the PNW. I’m waiting in line at the ferry in Mikilteo to head up to Whidbey. I guess you won’t be on duty.
Happy clamming! _________________ - Jim

Nice - looks like a trip tailor made for your vehicle, and your culinary tastes. Freeze some clam chowder for next time we come by!!

Had a super nice mini getaway. Fell asleep to 1000s of frogs, woke up to redwing blackbirds at 0630 as well as geese and a half a dozen hummingbirds, perfect morning.
Clam dig was tough, both days half our limits but enough for 3 meals and had a great weekend.
CDCG was perfect able to get a first come spot. Would have preferred a different site but ours for last minute was great and we were stoked to not have to stealth camp. Cost $20 clean and quiet.

Oh, man that looks nice. Yeah, I hear you on the stealth camping. While it's fun for a few reasons, it can also be stressful as you're worried about being asked to move. Relaxing in a paid spot can be nice. Thanks for the shot of the campfire - can't wait to sit around some flames soon. _________________ 1987 2WD Wolfsburg Vanagon Weekender "Mango", two fully locked 80 Series LandCruisers. 2017 Subaru Outback boxer. 1990 Audi 90 Quattro 20V with rear locking differential, 1990 burgundy parts Vanagon. 1984 Porsche 944, 1988 Toyota Supra 5 speed targa, 2002 BMW 325iX, 1982 Toyota Sunrader |
