EG Toyota makes 12 mm hex copper exhaust nuts, that are the cat's meow for fitting onto VW exhaust systems.

Toyota, Nissan, etc. use JIS (Japanese) size hardware. Their 8mm x 1.25mm thread stuff takes 12mm wrench. I can get some JIS stuff at Ace Hardware near me, or one can go to Toyota, Nissan, etc. parts desk.

For example, I use JIS nuts on my DP manifold studs.
