The best bolt pattern is the one that fits the wheels you like! Some like the vintage look of the 5 wide options, some like the selection of wheels that come in the 4 x 130 pattern. Anything else requires different brakes or adapters.

Presently my buggy has 4 x 130 and Chevy adaptors. I don't prefer adaptors not so much due to breakage issues on a light buggy but the increased off set does funky things to the steering. I plan to use the 944 brakes to get rid of the adapters and upgrade stopping power at the same time.

Are there many wheels out there for a Manx for 4-lugs say 15x8 or 15x5? Is there a preferred lug pattern for a Manx or is it just preference. They are all so confusing. 4-lug, 5-lug porche and wide 5......ugggh.

Wide wheels for the 4 lug VW seem to be somewhat difficult to find.

I think we have the same body! I don't know anything about it so I'm curious if you have any information on it.

I think I found a set of 4 original Jackson white spoke 5 wide wheels. Are they worth getting or still pretty common?

The downside is I may have to buy the whole Buggy to get them!

I'd say both, tho not real sure how common they are. Seem to recall seeing them available NEW not too long ago, in some limited sizes. Maybe look-alikes? Anyway, I can tell you that I absolutely love mine. They're really well built: Strong, center'd, balanced... Plus, I think they look great.

Nothing new here. I just thought I'd throw my vote in for Ansen Sprints/aluminum slots.

I couldn't find a manufacturer's name on these. They came with the buggy and cleaned up nice. Any ideas?

Looks great!! Very Happy

If the wheels bolt together, they look like they could be CMS:

You are correct. I sent this picture to CMS wheels and they identified them as their product. I was planning to be up in Portland in a weeks but given the current situation, I will be staying closer to home for awhile.

CMS - very nice!

Better safe than sorry to stay home . . . the way things are going, I don't think any of the usual car events will be happening anytime soon . . . Sad

Cooper Cobra's on widened original 356 wheels (not sure of the wheel width; the metal man made them to fit with the size of the tyres); tyres are 215/65R15 in the front and some chunky 255/70R15 in the rear
