Well I got to screwing around with the paint tonight. I’ve got a couple different blends of paint. Some PPG 1 onmi/ppg and 1 Nason. All of them match one panel near perfect but not another. If you look below the logos its a near perfect match. Then above them doesn’t match at all. I spent a good 1/2 hour taping off the surface rust. Again, taping off surface rust. Weird. Cool. But i also had to try and make it look nice yet shitty at the same time. Definitely not your typical paint job LOL.... the things we do to keep it real. So the lack of match above the logos suggests to me that it has sun fade. Its unacceptable. So im gonna have to redo that, but overall im seeing results and results turn into motivation. Im feeling really grateful to have such a unique bus to bring back to life.

It was nice to stop by a few weeks ago and get to meet Dave & Jen.
Great folks and lots of good work going on there in the shop.
I enjoyed getting to meet them , checking out the pumpkin bus, & enjoyed a nice meal they cooked up for us on the grill before we headed out.
My daughter Caroline(6) and I were on our way back to Missouri after a quick trip to Niagara Falls
Dave,Jen & my Caroline(holding her gifted shop monkey )
Dave has done a crazy amount of work to this beauty..love it! _________________ 1959 mango-trailerbus

We started redoing some long trashed logo’s tonight. I made a walley world run and got some thin clear vinyl and a exacto knive. I laid the vinyl down over the exsisting logos and traced them with the knive. Then I transfered them to the bus using glass cleaner, much like doing window tint. Then Jen painted them up!!
Its hard to see in the pic, but you can make out the outline.
Jen and her paint brush.
LOGO’S!!!!!!!

I see you "over killed it" by welding right into each and every ridge. I did that too when replacing..., okay, installing a new bed on the Plump Truck. Originally vw welded every other 2 or so ridges on the floors and such.
