EGR Light

I have a '77 Westy (mine for about a year now) and the EGR light recently came on. I checked Muir (as I always do when something out of the ordinary happens) to see what the cause could be. The idiot book mentions that the light will come on every 15k miles as a reminder to check the valve. The book states that I should be able to reach up behind the guage cluster and feel a reset button. My bus has an under dash a/c assembly and I have not been able to feel the button. Not sure if I am just not able to reach up far enough or if the reset may be located elsewhere. Has anybody ever ran into this? I am not sure how to get the light to go out aside from a small piece of electrical tape over the light Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Remove the left kick panel. Follow the speedo cable down to the black box. On the box will be the reset button. Press it and the light will go out.

Thanks for the info. I seem to remember seeing the black box last time I had the kick panel off. I'll give it a try tonight.
