It might seem like a small detail, but the dash I.e. - between to the 1st and 2nd figure 1's seems to be too long. Could you measure it please, and I'll see how this relates to other pre 1950 engines.
As for the A suffix, I have seen this before somewhere, but can't think where, and as somebody suggests, this might be something to do with a rebuild at some stage. The dynamo support casting does seem very scratched for some reason. |

I am learning a lot of details which I did not know before.
Last night I have checked the number near to pulley but I could not see them very well.....it was very dark outside.
I will check the number and let you know.
Can this number be a clear and good reference ?
