Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anyone can help me to identify the paint code of the pale green in the photos below???:

I've been through all the VW paint charts and none of the chips seem to match. Closest I can see is Pale Green L-480, Light Green L-581, Pale Blue L-289 but none of them look quite right. I've rung the guy who owns it and he cannot remember except that he thought it was a 62 code.

Thanks

I think you answered the question already....my guess, it's not a factory color! It's certainly not a year specific / Type 2 correct color anyway. Looks nice though. Kind of like "Sea Foam Green" whatever that is?

It almost looks like Turquoise but is sort of light.

Sea Foam Green, a common non-VW color, may be the answer.

Weird Treasure Chest door on that truck...

Thanks Guys, I think you may be onto something with the Seafoam Green. All the VW colours I've had mixed by the paint shop wern't even close.

I now have a few american codes for Seafoam Green and other variants that I am going to have made up.

Sea Foam Green is also a very common mistake color used to match VW Turquoise.
I have seen this a number of times in the past.

Hmmm, I missed that but I see the guy is in Australia so maybe the Truck is too so it could be a dusty conditions Truck with the double roof and air intake that goes through the front cab and through the treasure chest area to the engine.

Those trucks have no vents in the rear.

A couple more

Yup you are right. The puffy roof gives it away. Ive only seen the dusty condition SC with the dual scoops in the front of the bed.

Hey I was looking around trying to find what color I want to paint my car with and I fell in love with that green. I was wondering if you (or anyone else) ever figured out the color code for it or one that's very similar? Thank you!

This is a similar color that my daughter selected for a father daughter project.
It is a 1950s Cadillac color called Polar Green, there were several light greens used by American car companies in the 50s

Close to Bahama Blue... Google 'classic vw colors' & it will generate link to vw color chip boards for sale on ebay... there are many variations of these samplers but all have factory codes attached to each chip.

Upon further review, the nearest I could get to this color is 1967 Issue Ditzler Catalog 'Light Green' #43228
